20 years after the identification of the first unstable microsatellites as a cause of genetic diseases (fragile X syndrome, myotonic dystophy, Huntington’s disease, etc), this symposium aims to draw an overview about repeat-associated diseases for a biomedical audience.
Prestigious International speakers will present advances towards the understanding of repeat instability and physiopathological mechanisms of major diseases, as well as therapeutic outcomes.

This symposium is an introduction to the 7th International Conference on Unstable Microsatellites and Human Diseases (www.microsatellites.ca) organized from 9th (evening) to 14th June 2012 at the Mont Saint Odile (near Strasbourg).

Free access. Pre-registration required (No registration fees).

Organizers: Jean-Louis Mandel and Karine Merienne.
